Resolved Question: What steps do we need to take to buy a house?

We are 1st time home buyers with 4 children. We live in a home that we rent and we love. The owner recently said that he would be interested in selling the home to us. However, we have absolutely no experience in real estate. What do we need to do to start the process? We have good credit and understand that we would qualify for 1st time home owners programs, but have no idea where or how to start. Any suggestions?
